WHAT IS SPINAL DECOMPRESSION?

Spinal decompression is a favorite non-surgical treatment for disc disorders in our office. The most common misconception surrounding our decompression tables is that they work the same way inversion tables do. Unlike inversion tables (which pull the spine with static pressure), spinal decompression uses an accordion-like process to safely pull the spine in a controlled setting. This accordion-like motion expands the spine creating a “vacuum effect” to suck the bulging or herniated disc(s) back into place. This effect also causes valuable nutrients to be pumped back into the disc space to promote natural healing and recovery.
